July 1, 2010 -- It's official: We have a new home at 1714 1st Ave. South in Seattle's SODO district. We are going to need help from all our able-bodied members and friends to complete our move.

September 2009 -- In seeking office space, we ultimately found more than we sought. Thus, we have begun a new project -- the Cannabis Resource Center. This is the new headquarters for the Cannabis Defense Coalition.

Rental information
This is in the South Park neighborhood in south Seattle. For those in the know, this is the old County Line Bar and Grill building.

Resources at the CRC will soon include:
- Cannabis Defense Coalition offices, staffed (hopefully) Monday through Friday 10-6ish. Mission control for court case tracking, carpool creation, information collection and dissemination.
- Court day carpool parking, gathering point, etc.
- A place for simple volunteerism. We *always* need more little red buttons made. We especially need volunteer phone jockeys to staff the Washington State Potline.
- Community meeting/classroom/event space available for rent on a sliding scale.
- Free medical marijuana guides, stickers, posters, etc.
- CDC t-shirts, marijuana magazines, posters, etc.
- Growing information for patients, minus the tomato plant code words. A patient specific retail area.
- A public piano, wheeled out front every morning.
At this point, we have our office space painted, set up, and ready to go. We have started work turning the back bar area into meeting, classroom and event space.
The big question we must ask is this: how do we raise the $1500 monthly rent plus approximately $500 in monthly bills? Our ideas thus far include:
- event space rental
- retail sales
- fundraising events
- CRC-specific fundraising.

As of September 22, we have two monthly pledges -- one for $500, the other $100 -- $600 so far, $1400 to go.
