The CDC's Safe Access Committee is developing a "best practices" manual for the medical Cannabis community.
The following committees were formed in mid-2011:
- Strategic Communications - Will work on media, outreach materials, social networking and advertising.
- Fundraising - Will put on special fundraising events, seek sponsorships, and write grants.
- Safe Access - For patients, dispensaries, medical professionals, and anyone else interested in seeing safe access to medical cannabis. Will work on devising best practices to help inform the regulatory process. May ultimately break down into smaller committees for focused efforts.
- Legal - For attorneys only. May include reviewing legislation, advising on potential lawsuits, brief bank, conducting CLE classes, legal clinics and lawyer referral. Only lawyers who are paid members and on this listserv will be listed on our resources page.
- Technology - Including, but not limited to, reworking the website, building an organizational database, and maintaining AV equipment for the Cannabis Resource Center.
- Political - Will develop plans for how the CDC can affect political change and implement political strategies.
